Product Application

Cored wire is a composite material of any length wrapped with a cold-rolled mild-carbon steel strip after crushing various additives (deoxidizers, desulfurizers, modifiers, alloys, etc.) into certain particle sizes.

Cored wire technology is an external refining method developed on the basis of injection metallurgy technology in the 1980s. Cored wire is suitable for steel making and casting.

Packing of cored wire:

Wire arrangement: horizontal and vertical. There are two kinds of packaging methods: internally drawn type and external type.

The injection method is adopted for the cored wire, and the injection speed can be determined according to the diameter and the melting point of the alloy cored wire. The alloy cored wire is inserted vertically into the molten iron or steel smoothly with a wire feeder to melt and undergo physical and chemical reactions at an ideal depth. That avoids the reaction of added elements with air and slag, improves the yield of elements, and serves the purpose of refining inclusions, alloying and improving the composition. It also plays a significant role in improving the quality reducing the cost, and improving the economic benefits of cast iron and steel.
